The newest of all of Atlanta’s cities, Sandy Springs, named for the sandy spring that still runs, was incorporated in 2005. Serviced by Georgia 400 from north to south, and I-285 from east to west, Sandy Springs is located between Buckhead to the south and Roswell to the north.
Because several Fortune 500 companies are in Sandy Springs, and because of its close proximity to Downtown, the city is experiencing tremendous residential growth. UPS, Spectrum and other well-known corporations are in Sandy Springs. Additionally, Atlanta’s biggest and best-known hospitals, Northside, St. Joseph’s, and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, are here.
As a premier place to live and work in greater Atlanta, Sandy Springs has become one of the city’s most affluent areas.
